It seems like my parents cat goes into heat every other week or so. My parents cannot afford to bring her to the vet, so what are their options? I hear vets are pretty expensive these days.

I really don't know what to tell you. Why not ask a family member for help? Or you could always give her to another person, maybe a friend or family member. It's not ideal, but you do want the best of care for her don't you?

Please get her spayed, it's the best thing you can do right now. Your cat hurts when she can't mate with other cats. It's part of nature. If you don't have a male cat present, get her spayed.
