Abused?
Hey there, I would like to tell you a little about my dog. My sister gave her to us about 2 or so years ago, and we believe she got the dog from an abusive owner before that. She doesn't act this way that much anymore, but when we my sister first got her, she used to shake quite a bit, mainly if you yelled a little or went close to her. She did that with us as well, but she doesn't seem to do it all that much anymore.
Do you think she was abused by the original owners? I know she wasn't abused by my sister, so it must of been the previous owners before her. |

RE: Abused?
It's a possibility that she was abused by the previous owners. Shaking and cowering is one of the signs of a previous abuse. Just give her as much love as you can give and I'm sure she'll get over that habit.

RE: Abused?
I believe the previous owners before my sister where abusive. I kind of knew them and they seemed like the abusive type. I'm not much for profiling, but them seemed pretty rude with pets. Plus their dogs are always loose running wild around my street.

RE: Abused?
I see, It's normal for a dog to get scared easily. Say you yell at her, she'll shake correct? That could very well be a sign of abuse. You seem to care for your dog, so take care of her the best you can. Try not to yell at her a lot.

RE: Abused?
It sounds like she was abused. Most dogs freak out when yelled at. Some times they'll urinate or wine whenever someone yells. Does she do any of that? If not, she must be getting better. If it's just shaking, she's starting to get over it. She's still a little scared while getting yelled at, but she knows she wont get hit.
