What did the vet say about her leg, could this be a source of this behavior? Every pregnancy is different, but it seems like your vet isn't doing a good job explaining things. I mean your dog could just be reacting to a normal pregnancy but then again she could be experiencing some complications. I would monitor/record all the odd behavior and explain everything to your vet again. If he/she doesn't care enough about making you and your dog more comfortable then maybe you should get a second option.

you know nothing makes me madder then to take precautions to protect my dog when shes in heat from all the mangy neighbors dogs by keeping her in the house or a fenced in yard and the little turds dig under the fence and get to her. I took her over to my parents next door and they have a chain link fence around their back yard and he dug under and got to her, I found them hung up, I had to spray him with cold water and run him off. So it looks like I will be having puppys.
That was September 25. Today is October 20, Its now been almost a month, Shes never been breed before and is 4 years old, this will be something new for all of us. Her symptoms are now changing daily. She sleeps like a log. She eats alot more and drinks a lot of water. she is very clingy, she shivers a lot. Shes getting bigger, her stomach is hard, her nipples look larger, Noticed this week shes not pooping as much. But does seem to pee a lot. This week she did something she has never done before....She wet my bed, I thought it was because of the thunder storm that was going on at the time, then she did it again tonight but it was in the chair that she sleeps in. She jumped up and looked at her butt and then jumped down. I then noticed the chair was standing in pee. I think she farted and the pee just happened.
Yesterday she hurt her back-leg somehow and couldn't put any weight on it. I worried about her all night because she would sit in her chair and stare at me and shake like she was in lots of pain. It made me cry because there was nothing I could do to ease her. This morning she couldn't hardly move but didnt seam to be favoring the leg much. But she wouldn't jump into the chair. I had to pick her up and put her in the chair. She just layed there and shivered. I thought maybe she as cold so I covered her up but she keep kicking the covers off then she started panting. I tried to give her a baby aspirin in a wienie (her favorite food) but she just turned her head and that freaked me out so I tried to fix her something to eat and she refused, then I offered to take her outside and again she refused so I gave her a baby aspirin the hard way hoping that would help her and not harm the puppys. Then I thought Puppys, maybe shes having cramps, so I got a hot water bottle, wrapped it in a towel and put in on her tummy, put a pillow behind her back and one in front of her to help secure the water bottle. It seam like she liked it because she quit shivering and went to sleep. By afternoon she was feeling much better. She ate some left over roast and drank a lot of water. she wanted to go outside so I took her for a walk. She was doing great and wagging her tail. Then tonight she started acting like she was hurting again. I tried the hot water bottle but she kicked away. She got on the couch with my wife and started the panting again. She came and jumped up on me and I was rubbing her belly, she went to jump from my chair to her chair and she landed on the sore leg and I could tell she had hurt it again. She was very restless so I gave her another baby aspirin, It was shortly after that she wet in the chair. I dont know if all this is normal, the only answers I can get from the local VET is all dogs are different. Me and my wife are going crazy, this is our little baby, we dont know what to do or what to expect, what to look for etc. etc etc. If anyone has gone through this PLEASE let me know. My email address is easttexasdragon@aol.com oh and the mutt that knocked her up is a schnauzer, so she will have Schneagles I guess.
